Some examples of ASL Grammar are:
1. Topic/Comment: Signed in order of Subject, Verb, object
2. Yes/No: Uses raised eyebrows as non- manual markers. The signs that have the letters "wh" (where, when, why...) are signed at the end.
3. WH Questions: Eyebrows are furrowed and the head moves slightly forward as non-manual markers.
4. Rhetorical Questions: Ask how or why to explain and keep attention. Raised eyebrows are used.
5. Directionality: Signs that show who did the action/who it is about. This is shown through movement indicating that subject and the object of the verb. (pointing etc.)
